History of our Automotive Family Business

In 1923 Lake City was a not much more than truck farms Cedar Stumps on the outskirts of Seattle. In that year Robert Adair Sr. opened the 2nd business on the main highway going north to the Canadian Border, Victory Way, and now State highway 522. The highway was a haven for Road Houses and Speak Easies through the prohibition days. Many a car was towing into the shop as the 1st State Patrol cruisers used to meet up at Cedar Park and co-ordinate the towing and accidents from the Garage back in the roaring 20's. The shop called Cedar Park Motors grew over the next few decades and in 1944 with all the parts in stock and a Ford Motor sub dealership the shop branched off the parts department and opened a NAPA Jobber Parts Store, Lake City Auto Parts. Cedar Park Motors was sold to 3 employees when Sr. retired in 1959 and that business moved a couple of blocks away. A new building was constructed for the Part store in downtown Lake City, now a Seattle neighborhood. Bob Sr's son, Robert Adair Jr., ran the parts business after WWII until he retired in 1984, at one time owning 4 NAPA Stores. His son David and his wife bought the Lake City Auto Parts Business, after college from his folks, having grown up in the business continuing the family tradition.

Fast forward to 2007.

With Lake City growing, zoning changes, redevelopment and many changes in the market the property was sold to a developer and we had to find a new location. Hence after a major move, the Quality Parts and Service Group was born. We were a large NAPA Store with a Machine Shop. We are now an Automotive Machine shop, and a NAPA Auto Care Center with a NAPA Parts Department.

Our mission is to offer Quality Parts, Machine work, and Automotive Services, while growing our business and enabling our employees and customers to benefit from our experience, business ethic, and dedication to the Automotive Industry.
